Remote Access – Vista Users

If you are using Microsoft Windows Vista to connect to the Winstead Remote Access web page (wsmoffice.com), please follow these instructions:

1.       Open Remote DesktopClick Start | All Programs | Accessories | Remote Desktop.

 

   

 

2.       Enter Terminal Server NameUse the following server in your appropriate area:

Dallas – daremote.winstead.com

Houston – horemote.winstead.com

Austin – auremote.winstead.com

 

3.       Connect Disk Drives – If you need to have access to the local drives from your Terminal session, click the Options button from the Remote Desktop Connection window and click the Local Resources tab.

 

   

 

4.       More – Click the More button at the bottom of the screen. This will present the following screen:

 

  

 

5.       Connecting Drives – Be sure to put a check mark in the Drives checkbox. Then check the local drives you want available during your Terminal session.

6.       Connect - Click OK and then click the Connect button.

7.       Credentials – You will be required to enter your credentials prior to being connected to your Terminal session. You must enter your credentials using WSM\username and password (Note: WSM\ in front of your username is required).
